How to install GRP Water Tank? Dxb Solutions GRP panel type water tank focus on the best service,we breakdown whole installation to each step for better understanding. On the below of all steps,we uploaded our whole GRP/FRP modular water storage tank installation.
Weld Channel base
a). Four corners of channel steel groove all outward, vertical of channel steel all turn to right, and the horizontal all upwards.
b). According to the size of tank, before welding channel steel, firstly, measurement the length of two diagonals , it’s less than 3 cm, then begin welding channel steel.
Assemble bottom Panel
a). Clean up the surface of bolt hole and place the panel according to the size of tank and label mark.
b). Put the Φ10*45 bolt with washer inside the bolt hole.
c). Put the rubber and other panel through the bolt, (Note: regarding to the rubber placing, put the thicker side inside of the tank.) then screw them by washer and nuts(No need auxiliary angle bar for bottom).The torque is 20-23 N·M (Caution: when screw the bolts at cross stitch of the panel,, the torque should less than 20 N·M to avoid damage)
d). The rubber must longer than panel and cut the spare parts after fasten.
Turn Over the bottom Panel
a). Turn over the complete bottom panel and place on the U-steel base frame. (If the bottom panel more than 4 pieces, just turn over these 2 parts first, and then screw these 2 parts under the base frame). Make sure the joints of tank is on the surface of U-steel base frame.
b). Weld the fixed iron in the middle of the U-steel ,and make a hole on the angle of panel.
c). Bolt the fixed iron and bottom panel together to avoid bottom panel translocation.
d). Place the rubber on the side of bottom for connect with side panel.(Make sure the redundant of rubber length 1-2 mm then cut it)
Assemble the side panel
a). The assemble method is same as bottom panel(Refer to 5.2) ,the only different is there’re need auxiliary angle iron for horizontal and vertical. Put the angle iron and bolt them together.
b). The sequence is bolt-washer-panel-rubber-panel-angle iron-nut (Caution: when screw the bolts at cross stitch of the panel, the torque should less than 20 N·M to avoid damage)
Side Panel Dealing
a). Put the completed side panels and bolt them together.
b). When deal with the rubber at the side of panel,need cut the extra of rubber and place by cross ,the method should be like 4th picture to avoid leakage.
c). Fix the bolts of the side panel and confirm all the bolts are fixed.
Install the Leakage Stopping
a). Cut the redundant rubber at the corner of the inner tank.
b). Paint the glass cement at the corner of tank.
c). Install the stoppage ,and caution the direction, in case of corner of bottom with side panel, the stoppage should install by vertical, if for corner of side panel by side panel, the stoppage should install by horizontal.
d). Fasten the part of stoppage from outside.
e). Paint more glass cement around the inner stoppage, and flatten them to avoid any leakage .
Install the lacing bar
a). Mark the hole location according to the lacing rod plate and drill the hole.
b). Put the double thread bolts from outer to inner.(Causion: We matched the clear silicon washes for export instead of piece of black rubber what showing on the drawing.)
c). Install the lacing rod with inner lacing bar plate.(The thickness and material of lacing rod is according to client requirements).
d). Fasten the internal bolts and external bolts.
Install the pipe terminals
a). Mark the hole according to the size of pipe terminal and drill by hole saw.
b). Put the bolts from internal to external (Caution: We matched the clear silicon washes for export instead of piece of rubber what showing on the drawing.)
c). Paint the glass cement around the bolts and pipe terminal.
d). Install the pipe terminal and fasten the bolts.
Install the top panel
The assemble method is same as bottom panel(Refer to 5.2), after fasten the panel, carry up to the top of tank if the panels are less than 4 pieces. Otherwise install the panel on the top one by one according to the assemble method of bottom panel. (Caution:The rubber is needed between the top panel and side panel)
Install the level indicator
a). Drill the upper and lower hole according to the position and length of level indicator.
b). Put the glass tube through into the hoop and rubber for standby.
c). Install the valve in the hole.(Caution: We matched the clear silicon washes for export instead of piece of rubber what showing on the drawing.)
d). Install the tube into the lower valve and upper valve and fasten the hoop.
Install the ladder
a). Release the bolt of the side panel and bolt the ladder clamp with angle iron together.
b). For the upper clamp of ladder, drill the hole on the angle of side top panel according to the position of ladder, then bolt them together.

How do pressure tanks work?

These tanks are known as hydropneumatic tanks because they use the combined power of water and air to generate pressure within a tank.
Pressure tanks allow for pressurization without the aid of pumps. Since air will compress and water will not, the air within the tank will organically increase the pressure of the water as the tank fills up. There are also pressure tanks that do not rely on hydropneumatic pressure. These are known as constant pressure tanks. However, because you don’t need to access base panels to use them, I.F.B. tanks allow extra headroom, making them ideally suited for areas where height or headroom is restricted.
Totally Internally Flanged
True to their name, totally internally flanged water tanks are designed with all flanges on the inside of the tank. This allows them to be constructed at maximum capacity, offering a size advantage over the other two types of sectional water tanks, and aids installation in areas where assembly space around the tank is extremely restricted.
